- Abstract: The cross sections of the 65 Cu(n, α) 62m Co, 65 Cu(n, n'α) 61 Co and 65 Cu(n, p) 65 Ni reactions have been measured relative to 56 Fe(n, p) 56 Mn reaction at 14 MeV neutron energy through neutron activation method followed by off-line γ-ray spectrometry. The 14 MeV neutrons were produced via the 3 H(d, n) 4 He fusion reaction based on K-400 D-T neutron generator at China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP). The neutron energies were determined by the cross-section ratios for the 90 Zr(n, 2n) 89 Zr and 93 Nb(n, 2n) 92m Nb reactions. The cross sections measured in the present work are compared with the earlier reported cross sections available in the EXFOR database, evaluated nuclear data and theoretical results calculated by TALYS-1.95 code. Highlights: (n, α), (n, n'α) and (n, p) reactions cross sections of 65 Cu were measured. High flux neutron generator was used for irradiation. High resolution HPGe was used for counting. Experimental, evaluated and theoretical results were compared with the present works.
