- Abstract : The SSZ-39 zeolite is regarded as a promising small-pore zeolite for industrial applications due to its excellent catalytic properties and this review briefly summarizes the recent advances in the synthesis and application of the SSZ-39 zeolite. Abstract : Zeolites, especially aluminosilicate zeolites, have been widely used in the process of petroleum refining, environmental protection, and fine chemicals. In the past few decades, great attention has been paid to small-pore zeolites with 8-membered rings due to their excellent performances. One of the typical examples is the SSZ-39 zeolite, which has superior performance in the selective catalytic reduction of NO x with ammonia (NH3 -SCR). In this review, the recent advances in the synthesis of the SSZ-39 zeolite are briefly discussed including using different organic templates, developing synthetic routes, and enhancing mass transfer. In addition, the applications of the SSZ-39 zeolite such as NH3 -SCR and methanol-to-olefin (MTO) reactions have been outlined. This review might be helpful for zeolite researchers to easily understand the synthesis and applications of the SSZ-39 zeolite.
