- Abstract: We investigate the wave patterns of blood flow through cylindrical incompressible arterial tube with viscous and Newtonian fluid. We attempt to explore the play role of the diameter of the arterial tube and the cross-sectional area of the stenosis on the flow patterns of blood in a symmetrical stenosed artery. We derive the governing equation as the celebrated dissipation nonlinear Schrödinger equation the frame work of reductive perturbation nonlinear technique. We demonstrate the collision of wave patterns in the form of soliton profile governing the dynamics of blood flow in the stenosed artery and analyze the amplitude attenuation of pressure pulse waves in the fluid filled artery.
