Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from N Engl J Med 2022;386:57–67) A medical abortion regimen of mifepristone and misoprostol is safe. In the United States, mifepristone is approved for use only with onerous Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) restrictions, which include mandatory prescriber certification, observed dispensing of doses by the prescriber or medical facility (excluding pharmacies), and with submission of a prespecified patient consent form.
