- Abstract: Background: We report a case of acinic cell carcinoma (AciCC) of the buccal mucosa with reconstruction by submental island flap. Case Presentation: A 79‐year‐old man became aware of a mass on his left buccal mucosa. We diagnosed AciCC and performed resection of malignant salivary gland tumor of buccal mucosa and reconstruction with submental island flap. Conclusion: Submental island flap is considered to be one of the useful options for local reconstruction in the head and neck region, including oral cancer.
