- Abstract: It is a fundamental principle for the bond performance of shaped steel embedded in high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (HPFRC) that the two materials can work together. This research project examined thirteen specimens to investigate the bond behavior between section steel and HPFRC through a push-out test. The failure modes, average bond strength curves, calculation formulas of average bond strength, and strain distribution were analyzed. The test results indicate that steel strain distributes non-uniformly along the embedded length. The average bond strength-slip constitutive relation was established, according to the experiment results, and the outcomes agreed with the test curves. The distribution regularities of local bond strength and relative slip along the embedded length were investigated, and the position function of local bond strength and relative slip were introduced. Based on these two position functions and the basic bond-slip constitutive model, the bond-slip constitutive model with changes of position was developed. The model can reflect both the local bond strength and the relative slip of different positions along the embedded length.
