Abstract

Abstract: This case study describes the presence of a deer ked ( Lipoptena cervi, Linnaeus, 1758) in the Balkan chamois ( Rupicapra rupicapra balcanica ) from the area of the National Park „Sutjeska", Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). This is the first finding of this ectoparasite in this animal species in B&H, which indicates that deer ked has significant adaptive abilities to different animal hosts.
