Abstract

Highlights: There is significant value in monitoring a complete species suite with differing sensitivities. Multi-species monitoring provides unique insight and a tool for managing ecosystems. Long-term monitoring is a complicated endeavor and requires regular programmatic reviews. Monitoring is not the end goal in the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity.
