- Highlights: Quasi-one-dimensional zeolites have been synthesized using a structure-directing agent (SDA). The nanotubes have crystalline zeolitic walls enclosing a central hollow mesoporous channel. The wall is a hybrid of two traditional zeolite structures – beta and MFI. Zeolite nanotubes promise intriguing properties such as molecular transport, exchange and catalytic conversion. Graphical abstract: ga1
