- Abstract : Substituted 1-naphthols are synthesised from 2-ethynyl-1-indanones and tosyl azides in one pot. 1, 2-Acyl migration occurs with an intermediate α-imino rhodium carbenoid generated from the triazolyl moiety. Abstract : A unique method for the synthesis of substituted 1-naphthols by a rhodium(ii )-catalysed ring-expansion reaction of 2-triazolyl-1-indanone derivatives is reported. 1, 2-Acyl migration occurs with an intermediate α-imino rhodium carbenoid generated from the triazolyl moiety.
