Abstract

Abstract : The Cover Feature shows a simplified 3D representation with energy hypersurfaces of a thermal and a photochemical reaction path for the isomerization of A→B. While the thermal reaction runs exclusively on the energy hypersurface of the ground state (blue), the photochemical reaction starts with the absorption of a photon generating the excited state A*, and proceeds part of the reaction pathway on the hypersurface of theexcited state (red).
