- Abstract : All-inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite QDs have quickly emerged as a rising star for QD PV materials and have achieved a remarkable efficiency of over 16% via advanced surface chemistry and device engineering. Abstract : Due to the rapid increase in population, total electricity demands have been quickly increasing. Under this circumstance, renewable energy technologies such as photovoltaic (PV) materials need to be urgently developed. Among these diverse PV devices, solution-processable materials like organic semiconductors and inorganic quantum dots (QDs) are desirable for designing lightweight, low-cost, semi-transparent, and portable solar cells. All-inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite QDs have quickly emerged as a rising star for QD PV materials and have achieved a remarkable efficiency of over 16% via advanced surface chemistry and device engineering. In this review, we first summarize the latest breakthroughs in perovskite technology via various strategies such as the optimization of synthesis procedures, surface modifications, and solid QD inks. In addition, we briefly discuss device architecture engineering for achieving higher PV efficiency and improved long-term stability. Finally, we present the next steps in QD preparation, processing, and architecture to further improve the device performance.
