- Highlights: Appropriate content of P2 O5 endowed C4 A3 $ mineral with excellent mechanical property. Compared with C4 A3 $, C4 A3 ($, P) mineral had excellent chloride ions chemical binding capability. The hydration products of C4 A3 ($, P) mineral included AFm(Ms12, Ms10.5), aluminum gel, C(A, P)H10 and C2 (A, P)H8 . Abstract: C4 A3 ($, P) mineral was a modified calcium sulphoaluminate formed in rich iron environment by replacing SO3 with P2 O5 in C4 A3 $, which could improve the Cl - chemical binding capability and optimized the strength growth in the middle and later period, so as to be widely used in ocean engineering. And the schematic diagram of crystal structure was obtained by infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and so on. When the replacement ratio of P2 O5 to SO3 reached 0.15, the compressive strength of C4 A3 ($, P) mineral was up to 60.7 MPa of 14 days and 62.9 MPa of 28 days. Its main hydration products were AFm (MS10.5, MS12), aluminum (iron) gel and C-(A, P)-H gel. And it was worth noting that the content of C(A, P)H10 and C2 (A, P)H8 increased significantly with the increase of the replacement ratio, which endowed C4 A3 ($, P) minerals with excellent chloride ions solidification performance. These proved that C4 A3 ($, P) mineral had great potential in marine engineering construction.
