Abstract

Abstract : Cancer cases have reached an all-time high in the current era. Abstract : Cancer cases have reached an all-time high in the current era. Thus, there is a need to develop advanced therapeutic methods that can effectively inhibit the proliferation of precancer and malignant tumors. These strategies should exhibit potential to manage cancer and improve the effectiveness of conventional therapeutic agents. Regarding cancer, paclitaxel is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic drugs. Thus, nanomedicine of paclitaxel has extended its use in the efficient management of cancer. In this review, initially, the use of the promising compound paclitaxel is highlighted for chemotherapy. Subsequently, the state of the art of nanoformulations of paclitaxel for its use against cancer are discussed. The properties and applications of paclitaxel nanomedicine are highlighted and several types of paclitaxel nanomedicine systems are discussed. Finally, the current challenges and future perspectives are reviewed.
