- Abstract: The National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment completed a comprehensive review of existing programs and practices and conducted interviews with key stakeholders to inform the development of a model of care for addressing elder mistreatment. In this presentation, we will summarize the systematic literature review, and present methods and findings from interviews with key stakeholders and gatekeepers. Interviews were conducted with clinicians, health care administrators, Adult Protective Services staff, and Multi-Disciplinary Team coordinators. Findings from the literature review and interviews revealed gaps and promising aspects from current practices for addressing elder mistreatment as well as important barriers to and facilitators of model implementation. These results and their role in informing the development of the national care model will be discussed.
