Abstract

Summary: Endometrial osseous metaplasia is a rare entity resulting in the formation of trabecular bone fragments within the uterine cavity and frequently presents as secondary infertility with a history of previous pregnancy loss or termination. The unusual transvaginal ultrasound appearances are important to recognise, as fertility is often restored after hysteroscopic removal of the bone fragments from the uterine cavity.
