Abstract

Abstract : Inflammatory bowel disease patients with diabetes mellitus are more likely to have active disease, report worse quality of life, and have higher health care utilization. This high-risk subgroup of patients with confirmed active disease should be treated with appropriate medical therapy including biologic therapy with or without an immunosuppressant.
