Abstract

Abstract : As technology regarding the wearable electronic device has rapidly developed, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), which utilizes contact electrification with electrical induction as operation principle to generate electricity, is considered as a promising wearable energy harvester to power the portable and wearable devices. One of the abundant energy sources to be harvested by using the TENG is a human body movement, which entirely depends on joint movements with exclusive characteristics of limited displacement with a high degree of directional freedom. In this study, we focus on development of the high performance TENG with the help of adoption of the rationally designed power transmission unit, which is called as a mechanical mediator enabling highly effective power transmission from human body to the TENG.
