Abstract

Abstract : DOI: 10.1002/elps.202100206 The cover picture shows the main content of the article " Multiplasmid DNA in Agarose Gel Electrophoresis: Suitable Dye and Temperature is Essential for Prominent Profiles ", which is described in detail as follows. The globe, as the main body of the cover image, illustrates the main conclusion that "Gelred is an efficient, sensitive and suitable dye to stain multiple‐pDNA". The 3D lane profiles on "the agarose gel" (below) show the results of the first part of the experiment: while two dyes had preferred buffers in themselves, the light intensity of the scheme "Gelred + TBE" was still 1.8 times higher than the scheme "Goldview + TAE". It is recommended to apply the scheme "Gelred + TBE" for multiple plasmid systems in AGE. The 3D lane profiles on "the agarose gel" are from the software ImageLab 5.1. The light intensity curve in the top right‐hand corner shows the results of the second part of the experiment: the resolution of the Gelred‐ or Goldview‐stained linear DNA ladder or single‐pDNA was unaffected by the various temperatures. However, in electrophoresis of multiple‐pDNA using Goldview, inappropriate temperatures should be considered as an important factor for false‐negative data.
