Abstract

Abstract : The Cover Feature shows a potential sensory material (CuCl2 @MOF‐867), which has been developed by post metallization (CuCl2 ) of a water stable luminescent metal‐organic framework, namely MOF‐867, constructed with bipyridyl functionality as organic linker. The sensory probe demonstrates highly selective and sensitive aqueous phase "turn‐on" detection towards toxic cyanide (CN ‐ ) ions even in the presence of other co‐existing anions with a very low limit of detection (0.19 μM), which is considerably lower than the WHO permissible limit in water.
