- Abstract:
- Abstract: This article explores the close relationship between news reports and refugee lawyers' decision-making in legal proceedings. It finds that refugee lawyers rely on news reports in at least three ways, namely, as evidence in itself, the basis for other types of evidence, and a basis for their personal worldviews. However, it also finds that their reliance might not always be well placed and that, where it is not, refugee law and human rights consequences can ensue.
