- Abstract : Based on a presynthesized Zr3 precursor, two isostructural 2D heterometallic ZrMOFs have been synthesized by a step synthesis strategy. Abstract : Two isostructural heterometallic ZrMOFs (denoted as ZrMOF-Co and ZrMOF-Ni) were obtained by a stepwise synthesis approach. Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses indicate that the two ZrMOFs are both built from trinuclear zirconocene-based metallo-pyridine building blocks, featuring a 2D infinite chain structure. Furthermore, magnetic studies reveal that ZrMOF-Co shows antiferromagnetic performance, while ZrMOF-Ni features a ferromagnetic behavior.
