Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from Gynecol Oncol 2021;162:308–314) Implementation of widespread screening has led to a dramatic decrease in cervical cancer rate over the past 30 years. Current screening guidelines by the United States Preventive Services Task Force, American Cancer Society, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend discontinuation of screening at age 65 years for patients with average risk and prior negative screening or history of total hysterectomy.
