Abstract

Highlights: Increased fractalkine levels have been reported in patients with AD, and MCI. Soluble fractalkine increased in AD, VAD, and MCI than in controls. The VAD had the highest levels. Patients with mild and moderate AD had higher levels of fractalkine than severe AD. Higher fractalkine levels in early AD, supports the early involvement of inflammation in AD even in MCI.
