- Graphical abstract: Abstract: An efficient 2, 3-dichloro-5, 6-dicyano-1, 4-benzoquinone (DDQ)-mediated oxidative coupling reaction of N, N -dimethyl enaminones with cycloheptatriene is developed. It provides a variety of α-alkenylated 1, 3-dicarbonyl compounds in moderate to good yields under mild conditions.
