Abstract

Abstract: A roll‐to‐roll manufactured ultra‐high permeation barrier film based on a multilayer stack of sputtered oxide layers and ORMOCER® interlayers is presented. The reproducible large‐area water vapor transmission rate is less than 8·10 −5 g/(m 2 d) at ambient condition. The film has been evaluated as substrate for and encapsulation of flexible organic electronic devices.
