- Highlights: Two additives named Ethylene – Ter – Polymer (ETA) and Poly Phosphoric Acid (PPA). Bitumen concrete (BC) mixes prepared with 100 percent of locally available aggregates. The development of new possible composition. Abstract: The use of bitumen in road construction is not new, however the bar of difficulties to design a sustainable bitumen mixes has raised over the past few decades. Various researches throughout the world, has proposed different admixtures and acclaimed their possible utility either as a partial replacement or additive to bitumen. The present study also works around such two additives named Ethylene – Ter – Polymer (ETA) and Poly Phosphoric Acid (PPA). The objective of the study is to unfold the impact ETA and PPA collectively with varying percentage on bitumen concrete (BC) mixes prepared with locally available aggregates. Grading 2 i.e. 13.2 mm aggregates has been considered in the study. The experimentation included the physical and Mechanical characterization of materials and sample prepared using IS and MoRTH Specifications such as Gradation Analysis, Specific Gravity, Impact Tests Penetration, Ductility, Marshall stability and Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) etc. The results have evident a new age possibility for usage of ETP and PPA.
