Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this, an abridged version of the 2021 Anthony Low Commonwealth Lecture delivered in Canberra, the author traces the history of mankind's treatment of the twin scourges of human trafficking and modern slavery and examines the progress that has been made in dealing with them in recent years. She argues that much more needs to be done, and outlines a number of potential strategies for the eradication of these practices.
