- Highlights: ITP has been reported as one of the rare adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccination. A case of de novo ITP after BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine was caused by GPIbα autoantibody. Evidence supports rapid platelet hepatic clearance and transient TPO upregulation.
