Abstract

Highlights: A proportion of those with oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) are positive for ERα. ERα positivity has been associated with improved survival in OPC. The role of ERα in OPC pathogenesis is unclear. Further work is needed to validate ERα as a biomarker and therapeutic target.
