Abstract

Abstract: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common non-cutaneous cancer in men in Europe and is predicted to exhibit declining mortality in the European Union (EU) due to various recent improvements in treatment. The goal of this short review is to give insight into the European treatment landscape of PCa, while focusing on improvements in care. Highlights: Novel treatments reshape the way prostate cancer is treated in Europe. Differences in diagnosis and availability of care in Europe cause various differences in prostate cancer treatment and outcome. Education efforts spreading knowledge about therapeutics as well as improvements in accessing care in Europe are needed.
