Abstract

Abstract: The demand of the construction industry has made the world to use the best materials which can reduce the time and cost of the project. The materials which are used nowadays should also be sustainable, can be customized as per the requirement of the client, should be good aesthetic wise and ultimately it should be long lasting. If it possesses all the above qualities, then it will be preferred and, it's demand will be more. The construction fields nowadays use varieties of formwork materials and methods to speed up their construction. The formwork materials which are used will depend upon the type of buildings, whether the building is commercial, residential, factory or industrial or other type of building. The selection of kind of formwork is in it itself is big task and it effects the overall cost of the project. It is one of the major inputs which also affects the design of the building as well. This paper will discuss about what kind of formwork materials should be selected for different building typology.
