- Abstract: The simulation of landslides together with the wireless sensor network allows understanding how the sensor nodes in the network are affected by the occurrences of landslides. As the occurrence of a landslide can be novel or derived from the previous one, the occurrence probability is categorized as primary or secondary. This paper shows the simulation of landslides on an area monitored by a wireless sensor network. The operation of the network is managed by PEGASIS routing protocol, combined with the Genetic Algorithm for improvement. The result shows that a low probability of primary occurrence has more impact than a secondary one on the network lifetime and other factors.
