- Abstract : A 57-year-old man presented with features suggestive of a non-functioning pituitary tumour. He underwent trans-sphenoidal resection of the tumour which was found to be a chordoma and not a pituitary adenoma. This case demonstrates that a chordoma may directly involve the sellar region and mimic a pituitary adenoma. We also discuss the aetiology, areas of involvement, management and prognosis of this unusual tumour.
