- Abstract: A recent publication documented an exciting role for KRAP in tethering/immobilizing IP3 Rs to actin. This interaction "licenses" IP3 R activity as disrupting the partnership markedly diminishes Ca 2+ puffs and global signals. These findings highlight a unique mechanism for regulating IP3 R activity.
