Abstract

Abstract : A feeding polyp from the sessile stage of the cnidarian Clytia hemisphaerica, labelled by TUNEL (red) and counterstained with DAPI (green). The polyp, connected to the colony by the stolon, is formed by a stalk topped by a head bearing tentacles. A few apoptotic cells are detected at the extremity of tentacles, while the other part of the animal is apoptosis free.
