Abstract

This paper focuses on a very simple yet an issue of utmost importance in today's fast-paced life. Today everyone desires to get their work done on a click, so why not automate the time-consuming process of question generation. A text document is given as input and our system will generate possible set of questions on it. The categories of questions range from MCQ questions, objective questions, factual and inference-based questions. NLP-based tools are used for automating the process of question generation. Here focus is on three key areas, first being POS tagging followed by pronoun resolution and summarisation. Once the text is resolved and summarised, then questions are generated based on it. In this system, one just needs to give the text document as input and gets the questions on the go. This system will be very beneficial for school teachers and students.
