Abstract

Abstract : ( Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand . 2020;99:819–822) In early April 2020, Swedish authorities observed a high number of pregnant and postpartum patients presenting with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection who required admission to the intensive care unit (ICU). However, at that time European and American authorities were not reporting similar trends regarding pregnant and postpartum women with SARS-CoV-2 and ICU admission. This rapid assessment compared the rates of pregnant or postpartum women with treated in the ICU compared with non-pregnant women of the same age during the same period.
