- Abstract : The heterostructure formed by Fe2 O3 and Fe3 C can create a strong internal E-field, which reduces the charge-transfer resistance and accelerates the diffusion of lithium ions. Abstract : A novel Fe2 O3 –Fe3 C heterostructure encapsulated into a carbon matrix was designed as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries. The composite had the high specific capacity of metal oxides, and maintained the stability of metal carbides. The unique heterostructure and tubular structure were conducive to charge transfer and ion diffusion.
