- Abstract : A fully earth‐abundant system for the photocatalytic reduction of CO2 is described. The combination of new heteroleptic Cu I complexes as photosensitizers with a known Ni catalyst showed the selective formation of CO, with comparable yields to some noble‐metal systems. Chemistry enables the cooperation with Sun, providing clean energy, and Earth offering abundant Cu and Ni, for the transformation of the greenhouse gas CO2 into value‐added chemicals. The new Cu I photosensitizers show new perspectives for the development of more efficient and sustainable systems. More information can be found in the Full Paper by C. Bizzari et al. on page 9929 .
