Abstract

Abstract: An efficient process for the oxidative coupling of a variety of phenols having an ortho‐benzothiazole substituent, 8‐hydroxyquinoline and ortho‐formyl phenols with N, N‐dialkylformamides using tBuOOH as the oxidant in the presence of a Cu(II)‐catalyst is presented.
