- Abstract: Under visible light irradiation of N‐bromosuccinimide methyl 2‐(azidomethyl)‐3‐aryl‐propenoates and ‐acrylonitriles convert to the corresponding iminyl radicals which undergo intramolecular ortho attack on the aryl ring, affording methyl quinoline‐3‐carboxylates and 3‐carbonitriles, respectively.
