- Abstract: Whereas 3‐ and 4‐substituted aryl Weinreb amides react with 3‐ and 4‐substituted aryl iodides to afford monoarylated products and only trace amounts of diarylated compounds, 2‐substituted aryl Weinreb amides as well as 2‐substituted aryl iodides are unreactive.
