- Abstract: In this investigation, electroless Ni-P was deposited on mild steel in presence of magnetic field, a modified coating technique. Degree of crystallinity was measured through integrated intensity, Full Width at Half Maximum and integral breadth with the help of profile fitting. The data which are taken from the x-ray diffraction profile was used to find the crystallite size and microstrain using the in-house software 'PROFAN'. The presence of the magnetic field modified the Crystallization behaviour of the Electroless Ni-P both in as coated and heat treated conditions.
