Abstract

Abstract : Between August and November 1983, seven new patients with AIDS were seen at this hospital; two with disseminated Kaposi's sarcoma, and five with opportunist infections, of whom three have died. We present the case histories of the five patients with opportunist infections, which show the wide clinical range of AIDS and suggest that the pattern of infection in the UK may differ from that reported in the USA.
