- Abstract : Air-stable NiZn homogeneous alloy nanoparticles were synthesized by sodium–naphthalenide-driven reduction at the controlled reduction speed of Ni and Zn ions. Abstract : We successfully synthesized NiZn homogeneous alloy nanoparticles, which were mixed at the atomic level, for the first time through a chemical reduction method with sodium–naphthalenide as a reducing agent. The NiZn alloy nanoparticles were stable even in air for at least half a year, although Zn is typically easily oxidized.
