Abstract

Abstract : Microorganism can be developed to efficient cell factories by rational systems metabolic engineering strategies, including systems biology approaches, synthetic biology approaches and evolutionary engineering, which provides the attractive alternative to overcome drawbacks in traditional chemical synthesis. The cover shows an abstract microbial cell factory, which achieves stably sustainable production of chemicals by utilizing renewable substrates, such as cereal and cellulose.
