- Abstract : The metal–inorganic frameworks Hf4 N20 ⋅N2, WN8 ⋅N2, and Os5 N28 ⋅N2, consisting of transition metals and polymeric nitrogen linkers, were obtained in a one‐step synthesis from the elements under high‐pressure conditions as described by M. Bykov and co‐workers in their Communication on page 10321 . The channel‐type pores are filled with ordered one‐dimensional arrays of nitrogen molecules. Because of the conjugated π‐systems in the nitrogen chains, these inorganic polymers are conductive materials.
