Abstract

Abstract : Nineteen different corticosteroids are marketed in Britain for use on the skin. The BNF divides topical corticosteroids into four grades of potency from 'mild' (IV), 'moderately potent' (III), and 'potent' (II) to 'very potent' (I). 1 Alclometasone dipropionate (Modrasone - Kirby-Warrick), introduced in 1986, is presented as a 'mild' preparation. Does it offer any advantage?
