- Abstract: In this paper, a novel design of electromagnetic side sealing is proposed to further promote its realization in the field of TRSC. Based on the liquid metal flow under the magnetic field, the magnetic induction intensity for side sealing was obtained. The simulation model of the electromagnetic side sealing is established to research the influence of parameters on the electromagnetic force. The physical simulation experiment is carried out to verify and supplement the model. Then a new type of electromagnetic side sealing structure with improved solenoid coil is designed. Its electromagnetic intensity distribution is more consistent with the theoretical requirements.
